Why I’m Running for Mountain View City Council
It's time for change and together we can continue to move forward helping our city thrive as we build a better future for everyone. When we work together in partnership, anything is possible. I advocate for all neighborhoods, renters and homeowners alike. New voices from underrepresented neighborhoods, like mine, will make a difference at City Council. I promise to be accessible to you and strive to figure out what is in the best interest for us all.
As the Vice-Chair for the Mountain View Environmental Planning Commission and former School Board Trustee, I take pride in working together to find solutions that will better serve our community. An example being the teacher housing project, which was made possible by both the School District and City Council working together. This project highlights the importance of promoting partnerships for greater impact.
We need to invest in green space, parks, and community development. We need to support our first responders (MVFD & MVPD) and small businesses as well as improve infrastructure, housing, bike and pedestrian safety, all while maintaining a balanced budget.
It’s time to speak to community needs and to find solutions at City Council. My grandfather taught me that making a difference in the community is the best way to make the change we all deserve.
